To ensure the health and safety of all campers, the following vaccinations are required:

All vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian.
⏱️ Bordetella Policy
For the safety of all guests, the Bordetella vaccine must be given at least 7 days prior to your pet’s arrival.
We require a minimum one-week period between vaccination and boarding to allow for full effectiveness and to reduce the risk of exposure within our facility.
Pets vaccinated within 7 days of their reservation will not be eligible for boarding.
NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
🐾 Age Requirements
All pets must be at least 6 months of age to participate in the 4Paws Camp experience.
🐾 Wyoming Residency Requirement
All campers must be residents of the State of Wyoming and have lived in Wyoming for at least 90 days prior to their stay. We are unable to accept out-of-state guests for boarding, as this policy helps protect camp from non-native pests and keeps all campers safe.
🎒 What to Bring
To help your pet have the most comfortable and consistent stay, we ask that you provide their regular food.
While we do offer house food, sudden dietary changes can lead to digestive discomfort. Bringing your pet’s normal diet helps ensure a smooth, stress-free experience.
🍽️ Food Guidelines
-
Please bring enough food for the entire stay, plus a little extra in case of travel delays.
-
We recommend pre-portioning meals in labeled zip-lock bags or similar containers for convenience (optional but helpful).
If meals are not pre-portioned:
-
Clearly label the container with your pet’s name, feeding amount, and instructions
-
Please include a scoop or measuring cup
📦 Storage Considerations
To help us manage space efficiently:
-
Please avoid bringing large food bags for short stays
-
Smaller, appropriately portioned containers are preferred
🥣 Dishes
No need to bring bowls—we provide all food and water dishes for your pet.
💊 Medications
If your pet requires medication, we are happy to assist.
All medications are organized into individual planners and recorded on our medication chart. Our team administers each dose at the scheduled time to ensure accuracy and consistency.
📝 Medication Guidelines
-
Please do not mix medications with food, as pets may not finish their meals and we must be able to confirm each dose is properly administered.
-
Clearly label all medications with your pet’s name, dosage, and instructions.
🦴 Administration
-
Oral medications are administered using pill pockets for ease and comfort.
-
We provide pill pockets for a small fee, or you’re welcome to bring your own.
-
-
We are able to administer oral and topical medications.
⚠️ Injection-Based Medications
For the safety of your pet, we are unable to accommodate dogs requiring injections (such as insulin).
We recommend boarding through your veterinarian in these cases, as they are equipped to closely monitor and adjust care if needed.
🛏️ CAN I BRING THEIR BED?
You’re welcome to bring your pet’s bed; however, it’s not uncommon for items to become damaged while at camp—even if your pet doesn’t do this at home.
💡 If the bed is expensive or has sentimental value, we recommend bringing a more affordable option or using ours.
🧺 We provide raised cots and cozy blankets for all campers, and all bedding is cleaned using a commercial washer to ensure proper sanitization.
🦴 WHAT TOYS AND TREATS CAN I BRING?
You’re welcome to bring any treats and toys your pet enjoys and is approved to have.
🎾 For safety, we recommend durable items and clearly labeling anything you bring.
🧘♂️ Anxiety & Boarding
Can dogs with anxiety stay at 4Paws Camp?
We welcome all dogs and understand that some campers may experience anxiety when away from home. Our goal is to provide a calm, structured, and supportive environment for every pet.
That said, certain levels of anxiety can impact a dog’s safety and overall experience while boarding.
🌿 Our Approach to Anxiety
We categorize anxiety into three levels to ensure every dog is placed in an environment that supports their well-being.
Our team is trained to monitor behavior closely and respond with care, attention, and structure.
🐾 Level 1 – Mild Anxiety
Comfortable With Gentle Support
-
Occasional panting or pacing
-
Mild restlessness during transitions
These campers typically settle in well with routine, attention, and a calm environment.
🌤️ Level 2 – Moderate Anxiety
Needs Extra Monitoring & Care
-
Panting and pacing
-
Barking or vocalizing
-
Jumping or heightened activity within the cabin
These dogs may require additional observation and support but can often adjust with time and structure.
⚠️ Level 3 – Severe Anxiety
Safety Concerns
-
Attempting to climb or escape enclosures
-
Biting or chewing fencing or cabin materials
-
Behaviors that may result in self-injury
For the safety of your pet, Level 3 anxiety cannot be accommodated.
If these behaviors are observed during a stay, we will contact you to arrange prompt pickup.
❤️ Our Commitment
Your dog’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are our top priorities.
If you’re unsure which category your pet falls into, we’re happy to help guide you before booking to ensure the best possible experience.

🛡️ Safety, Health & Behavior Guidelines
At 4Paws Camp, the safety, comfort, and well-being of every camper is our top priority.
To maintain a calm, secure, and low-stress environment, we have a few important guidelines to ensure each dog is a good fit for the camp experience.
🏥 Medical Requirements
Health & Safety First
-
We are unable to accommodate dogs requiring diabetic care.
-
Large and giant breeds (such as Great Danes and Mastiffs) must have a preventative gastropexy (stomach tacking procedure) completed prior to boarding.
These policies are in place to protect your pet’s health while in a boarding environment.
🐾 Behavioral Expectations
A Safe Environment for Everyone
🐕 Human Interaction
Dogs must be comfortable being handled by our team.
-
Dogs with a history of biting or aggressive behavior toward people
cannot be accommodated. -
If a dog displays aggressive behavior toward staff during their stay, we will contact you for immediate pickup.
-
Playful, non-aggressive mouthing is completely acceptable.
🧘 Anxiety Considerations
We understand some dogs experience anxiety.
However, dogs exhibiting severe (Level 3) anxiety behaviors cannot be accommodated for their own safety.
(See our Anxiety Guidelines for full details.)
🚧 Escape Risk
Dogs who are known to climb, dig, or attempt to escape enclosures are not a good fit for our environment.
This is strictly for their safety and security.
🐕🦺 Dog-to-Dog Behavior
We do not commingle dogs.
Dogs who are not comfortable around other dogs can still board safely with us, as long as our team is informed in advance.
This allows us to provide proper handling and spacing.
🔊 Vocalization
We understand that barking is a natural form of communication and expression.
However, excessive or continuous barking that disrupts the calm environment for other campers may not be suitable for our setting.
In those cases, we may recommend alternative arrangements for future stays.
❤️ Our Commitment
Every policy we have is designed with one goal in mind:
to create a peaceful, safe, and enjoyable experience for every dog in our care.
If you’re ever unsure whether your pet is the right fit, our team is always happy to guide you.
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ - Less Common Questions
🐞 Parasite Prevention & Health Awareness
Our cabins operate similarly to a child’s daycare environment, where pets share a general space over time. While occurrences are rare, external parasites such as fleas, ticks, or lice can be introduced from everyday activities like dog parks, neighborhoods, or outdoor adventures.
We kindly ask that all pets are checked prior to arrival to ensure they are free from parasites and in good health. This helps us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for every camper.
If your dog is experiencing symptoms such as itching, coughing, lethargy, vomiting, or diarrhea, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian before drop-off.
🧼 Our Commitment to Cleanliness
At 4Paws Camp, we take cleanliness and prevention seriously.
Our team follows daily protocols using pet-safe products to:
-
Sanitize and disinfect cabins and sleeping areas
-
Clean and maintain play yards
-
Disinfect toys and shared equipment
These measures help us maintain a clean, healthy, and low-risk environment for all guests.
🧩 Boarding Separately, Staying Connected
If your dogs are unable to board together, we’re happy to accommodate.
We understand that some dogs do well playing together but prefer their own space, while others benefit from complete
separation. Both situations are completely manageable at 4Paws Camp.
Our "Special Cabin" are thoughtfully designed for these needs. Each space is divided both indoors and outdoors, allowing dogs to see and remain aware of one another without physical interaction.
This provides a balanced experience—maintaining familiarity while ensuring comfort, safety, and individual space for each pet.
BUT YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE THIS CABIN!
🐕🦺 MY DOG DOESN'T LIKE OTHER DOGS
If your dog isn’t comfortable around other dogs, that’s absolutely okay.
At 4Paws Camp, we do not commingle pets. Each camper enjoys their own private cabin and dedicated outdoor space, ensuring a calm, controlled, and stress-free environment.
Your dog can relax and enjoy their stay without the pressure of interacting with other dogs—just comfort, routine, and individualized care.
🛏️ Familiar Comforts from Home
If your pet is accustomed to sleeping in a kennel, you’re welcome to bring it along.
Our cabins are spacious enough to accommodate your dog’s personal kennel, allowing them to maintain their normal routine and feel comfortable and secure during their stay.
